Cheer, cheer, cheer.
As I’m sure we all have, I’ve seen drastic changes to my life and schedule these past 8 months while quarantining at home. Of the few things that could still be relied upon during these unpredictable days, this perching Cardinal tops the list. Beginning in May, I could count on this cardinal to be singing from his place on the telephone line mid-morning and mid-afternoon. Like the certainty of the Cardinal’s song, and his familiar red plumage, I hope this print reminds you that though we can’t count on many things in life, we can always count on the birds to lift our spirits with their beauty and music.
“The Perching Cardinal” has been hand-drawn, carved, pressed, and colored on natural Lokta paper using light-fast Black and Naphthol Red vegetable-oil based ink. Arriving in your mailbox ready to frame or send, this postcard measures 5″ x 7″ in total size.
Please note: All orders are dispatched within 1-3 working days, protected in a cellophane sleeve and posted in a board-backed envelope. If you intend your purchase to be a gift and would like it to arrive shrouded in gift wrap and dried flowers and poetry, just say the word! Gift-giving is one of my primary love-languages, so it warms my heart to help facilitate that process for others.
