With the introduction of two bee colonies to our backyard this season, I’ve been spending a lot of time in observation of their hives. I created this print, “Just Like Honey,” to commemorate these intimate moments and to thank our beekeeping mentor, Ben. The bees – and Ben – have been some of my favorite teachers during this challenging time. Above all, they’ve taught me how much our mutual survival depends on one another. How will you care for your hive today? How will you work toward collective solidarity for the common good?

“Just Like Honey”” has been hand-drawn, carved, and pressed by me on unbleached Mulberry paper using a light-fast Yellow Ochre vegetable-oil based ink. It arrives in your mailbox matted and ready to frame or gift, measuring 5″ x 7”.
